That sat at $500 until the last eight seconds when it shot up to $2,342.98. Quite a last minute bid.

I bet that the winning bidder doesn't pay and that this goes back on the 'bay.

Ha, that $500 bid was mine. Not that I thought it would win, but $2300 for this module in this condition is pretty steep.

Cheers.,

If it goes back on ebay i'll bid again.
But like Brian did mention that $500 is pretty nice paid for a module with this horrible mark on the front.
I have a minty one but i am always looking for any buchla 100 series modules.

I had a bid in for $550, but anything much more than that would have put it out of the range of "worth it" for me. It did look pretty beat up.

234298 is a nice number - I mean it just rolls of your tongue :bananallama:

letmesee what can we get for 2342,98?
that's a lot isn't it.

a row of wiard/malekko/harvestman?
or
a serge creature plus boat plus eventide pitch thingy
or
a Pendulum Audio ES-8
or
a brandspanking new Synton
or
a Beezneez mic or two
or
a bunch of funky old vca compressors
or maybe
a set of secondhand ATC monitors
or...
a kawasaki Z900 and some money to do a tour
:bananaguitar: :hmm:

ok, it's a Buchla, and it's old, but it's only a bandpass filter.
without CV :deadbanana: LOL

The real power comes when you put the outputs in vca's you cv!!!

Are there bipolar cv-ed mixers?
Witch sweep from max negative to max positive with a 10 volt range?

Besides it's historic significance, there's really nothing about it that makes it truely "impossible to re-produce today". It's value in this auction is entirely due to it's scarcity and collectability as an aestetic object. No?

Hilarious. Could be DIYed for a handful of dollars!

I only paid a couple hundred more for my Fenix.

As I will likely never be able to afford vintage Buchla, I heartily applaud all the fat cats that can throw around this kind of money to possess the precious.

yes, I actually thought about building one of these after reviewing the schematics; it's a very simple module...

yep. they all are. the panels are extremely simple also. Ive been thinking about a layout for the Timing Pulse Gen. I think it would be a very useful circuit, similar to CGS Burst Gen.
