Author Possible WSW Germanium Preamps groupbuy

I got an option to buy over 40 WSW Germanium Preamps.
That are way to many for me but are people interested in buying some at 150 - 200 euro each?
I am gonna try to aim for 150 euro.
But i need to buy them all at once and really need to sell a big amount off them.

Here's some pics:

I have a friend with 4 off these and he loves them over his 1073's

Is there a built in psu? What kind of connectors are needed?
mono-poly
I think they need 24 volt power and got no psu.
I think connectors are kinda rare but you really can solder easy on the pins on the back.
I will get everyone documentation off the modules when i can work around a deal.
But i really need to sell at least 20 units to have enough cash for the other 20+ models.
I thik they boost +30db.
Hi5
I'd be in for at least one if we can get some documentation on the unit.

thanks.

Ok here is some good and some bad news.

I can make the price 150 euro each for sure (if i can sell 20 before picking them up)
Right now i got no schematics but i have some documentation from a unit from this range witch describes the pin connectors.

Is looks like that first one on left goes to 11!

It's the spinal tap edition.
Hi5
if you have pin-outs and the units are running fine already I see no worry in not have a schematic immediately. eventually will be great if anything goes down on it.

I can get bothv versions i think they are:

811 402 Germanium UA

811 403 Silicium Preamp

2 people did show interest for 2 units.
18 more to catch

schematic.
It is distribution amp not mic preamp.
Nice transformers and perfect di and boost about 40db.

Very interesting but out of my league as far as what's needed to clean them, restore them and make sure these actually work.

Really cool though.
Luka
have they been tested?
i'm interested but hesitant
mono-poly
They are kinda hard to test one by one.
But they sure can need some recapping and cleaning.
They come from a reliable friend off me and schematics are now avaible.

Same here. If I'd get something of which I'd be 100% sure it worked and I got a PSU and the right connections on it, I'd gladly pay a little extra for that. Though times for people with 2 left hands sad banana
mono-poly
Sorry but i don't wanna go and test 44 units here.
That's why the price is 150 euro guys.
Luka
well mono put me down for 1
give me some warning when it happens so i have some cash to splash

why ?

seems fine , need some recaping, or at least salvaging for irons...
mono-poly
It isn't throwing away monney 2012.
They are very close to Neve 1059's.
I just wanna have 4 myself and get the other ones sold.
mono-poly
The ones i can get really look better as the pictures i did post btw.
But it wouldn't be fair to post those.
If anoyne wants to see something, shoot a pm.

huh?

it's a bargain. Neve is overrated IMHO, but regardless what you compare this with, as far as preamps go, this is sixties quality stuff. When cost did not matter. eek! I have an idea of the source. I was also offered strips with eq from other sources. lovely lovely tones!!

I'd be interested but I won't have funds for two whole months.
BOOM! Peter Grenader neutral
