need some work bench gear recommendations

Post by A Dingleberry Monstrosity » Fri Feb 29, 2008 2:43 am

stage 1, an oscilloscope :)

I dont need anything fancy, since this will just be for hobby project and what not.

Id like to keep it under $500, used is perfectly ok.

first one I looked at...
https://www.alliedelec.com/Search/Produ ... =specs#tab

It looks to me like it has everything I would need. Anyone familiar with "global specialties"?

Id like it as cheap as possible, but I dont want to by crap.

ive seen lots of happy feedback about the tektronix 465 scope, and they are fairly inexpensive on ebay second hand.

i don't think you need to spend nearly so much money -

I bought a used B&K Precision (well-regarded brand) 20mhz scope on eBay for $90. Works just fine for modular applications!
