I tuned the 223e output Voltages to 1V oct and played a little tune.
Still have to pratice a lot, but for people wondering if this works,
it works. hihi

P.s. works with the serge as well

I love this track. Keep coming back to listen to it.

I haven't seen any MIDI ports in Rob's systems and while I'm greatly interested in them I don't know how I'd get it to play with my Buchla and Eurorack.

Would I be best to use some kind of Format Jumbler or replace some of his modules in the case with a MIDI interface or sequencer from another 5U brand?

The Rungler/Matrix/Node Processor now includes a Midi-Cv convertor
and some form of clock/division. Mine doesn't as I got it before the change,
so I don't have all the details.

same here.
love this video.

said it before: great work franz! still can't believe you let that buchla go. seems like the perfect companion for the hordijk.

I'm in a weird stage in my life and music making is such a big part of that. I have a huge studio of gear and am thinking of selling a lot of it to fund a Hordijk system, but I don't think I could ever part with my Buchla.
franzschuier
I had to opt for only one system in this stage of
my artistic development. Was a tough decision, but
I dont regret it. Only thing I really miss is the sound
of my serge. But I had to concentrate on one
instrument, got lost in to much amazing gear.

The midi is amazing btw. I recently picked up
a mcmillian qnexus and it works great as a midi
and cv source for the hordijk.
blue_lu
franz, I would really love to hear some percussive patches from the hordijk.

so far, the advanced rhythmic / self playing patches seem the forte of the buchla / serge systems, maybe due to dedicated clock dividers, etc...

regarding the qunexus - do find the lack of a dedicated sequencer as a strong limitation with the hordijk? I have to say, I do like the minimalistic interface, which fits the hordijk style really well.

This takes me somewhere fuzzy. Love it!

I have a lot of groove boxes around which I have a lot of fun playing but wonder if I'm really making worthwhile music or just "adding to the stockpile of undifferentiated raw matterial" (Attali) and my Moog Voyager which is almost a fetish item, gear can get that way you know?

Thanks for the heads up on the MIDI, that's a big concern of mine. That little Korg/Akai looking controller doesn't look like much, I mean no offense really, having an actual midi port and CV sounds like it blows the competition away but how do you use it?

Apologies for derailing the thread.
franzschuier
The qnexus has continuus pressure and location, plus 3cv out and a gate plus 2 cv in, in addition to midi. You can set your tunings
in the editing software and its no problem to use
microtuning. The cv tuning is actually finer than on the 223e.

The 223e is amazing, but its 12x the price . smile And you need a buchla
preset manager to use it proper.

can you post this again?
