Someone might have one but I never saw one outside of the big commercial developers. And then OSX just dwindles that further.

I didn't google but I presume you did.

I remember reports that it frustrated DIY and freeware developers left and right since it used some kind of unique handshaking protocol over MIDI that no one else used before or since.

Not free, but works very well with many keyboard/modules.
Randomize feature was a lot of fun the CZ 101.
