ARF Quad S+H

Post by ex_dead_teenager » Sun Aug 16, 2009 4:03 pm

I've been wondering since someone told me the ARF has a quadrature Sample and Hold function, can it work as an analogue shift register?

I love the ASR I have in my eurorack synth and having one in buchla could persuade me to buy the sequencer. As it is I'm just going to controll it with my Schaltwerk sequencer, that thing's a beauty. hey Chris, if you ever do come out with more stuff could you design a Shift Register for Buchla, pretty please?

thanks Alessandro!

those verbos modules look sweet. ASR is a big staple of my music these days.

Do you know if he's selling those now? I might get one of those instead of the ARF.

I think Mark is in the process of making some changes to these for a possible re-release. He had mentioned it to me a while back after I ordered my 258v.

I am curious...I tried emailing mark twice about the 258v without a reply. Do you need some secret password or initiation? Seems odd that there are modules that are for sale but i cannot find out how, how much, how long etc?

He'll get back to you eventually. I don't think he checks his e-mail very often.

I also don't think he's actively trying to sell modules. Seems to be more of a hobby / one here and there type of deal.

I'm pretty sure that everything he has listed for sale in the past is still available for sale now. I think the problem is simply that his is a one man operation. You just have to wait until he has time to build you the modules that you want. If his blog is any indication, I'd say he's busy working on his 288 prototypes right now.
