my typewriter euro case

Post by ws9848 » Sun Jan 27, 2013 10:18 pm

So my wife came home from the thrift store one day with a typewriter but it was in this cool vintage tweed kind of case and I thought it would make a nice euro case so I convinced her to let me use it! sorry the pictures aren't that great

I put the make noise mini power in there. I am thinking about mounting the power connection on the side. it's 2 rows of 63HP plus the 1 row of the 1U tiles since it turned out it was the perfect size for some 1U tiles and all. I put the erthenvar rails in it

the stupid thing is that I can't put the lid on with cables plugged in  so, I saw another one of these typewriters at an antique mall for $28 unfortunately it's a gray case I like the tweed better (must be because I'm such a hipster) so, I think I'll make another one and lower the rails next time so I can keep the cables plugged in.

anyway....

Great job on the case! I'm also getting a case put together with 1u rails. I look forward to more tiles being developed. Especially more performance oriented ones.

yeah, hopefully more people make some 1U things and if they need to make it 20HP wide...I don't care I have some room right now but it just happened to be the perfect fit in that case so I went with it. I am kind of thinking I should have put the 1U row in the middle. easier access that way :despair:

I'm interested in what you're doing with it. Please share.
