ES-6 Audio Performance Tests
hi all, since some people including me were wondering about the audio performance of the ES-6 in a modular context, i'll upload a couple A-B comparison files.
i am using a Metric Halo Mobile IO 2882 as a benchmark. both converter signals are recorded in parallel, fed from the same source. i am matching the input level of the ES-6 with the variable gain stages of the metro halo unit.
in the file names, "a" will always the same converter and "b" the other.
1) starting off with something very simple - basic waveforms from the Rubicon with a CV sweep trough the bigger part of it's audio range. sweep CV is coming from Live/Max/ES-3 so it's always the same. as a bonus, the Rubicon waves are followed by a little recording of some noise through a sequenced Res-4, just to make the first round a bit more exciting..
