I snuck this question in on a modular synth post, but it was glossed over I believe. So, I'll ask it here.
Could you take multiple Doepfer A-190 MIDI/CV modules, string them together using the Midi-Thru connections, and then set each one to receive on a seperate midi channel? Each A-190 would then represent one "channel" coming from a polyphonic midi source correct?
Polyphonic with multiple Doepfer A-190 MIDI/CV modules?

It should work as long as your MIDI source is sending each note on a separate channel. Recorded MIDI sequences with each track on a different channel would work. I have a MIDI keyboard that allows me to set up four zones, and a MIDI/CV with four channels. If I had more V/oct oscillators I could do it right now.
Yup yup!
I would double check the A-190 manual, but I'm pretty sure that it can be set to respond to a different midi channel.
