Hi to everybody,

are there limitations to use banana jacks and plugs for my diy synth for patching?

Much Thx!

As they are one pole connectors you dont get a local earth. This can add noise to audio parts of a modular. You have to think a bit if the module you are building uses the switched part of a 6.35/3.5mm socket.

You do get robustness, a chance to colour code, stack connectors, make cables easily.

There are a few things to start with.

Your´re completely right!
There are some advantages and also disadvantages.
I think i´ll use the 6,3mm Headphone jacks and sometimes when i buy a 960 dotcom, cotk or Moon Modular sequencer i do´not need any adapters.

Thank you much sir
Martin
