There's no way to know that until I build one up, but I was able to take the mixer circuit and most of the VCF from other layouts and adapt large portions of those to this one. Both of the donor circuits have been tested and work well, so if I've done my "portage" correctly then there are few opportunities for mistakes in this version.

There are a couple of things still to test out - I added a trimmer for v/oct CV response and a notch output. I may need to buffer the notch and the trimmer may not be located correctly...

There will be complete modules to buy from the usual retail suspects. :tu:

Maybe I should bring one up to Lawrence instead... you've got much better restaurants. :hihi:

Good news, everyone!

While watching seasons 6 and 7 of Futurama tonight I knocked the first prototype together. It's working nicely... it sounds just like it should. There were a few problems typical of first prototypes but we're headed in the right direction. (Misaligned pads, backward pots, the usual.)

I'll let you know when I get the last couple of kinks worked out.

Indeed.

I have the thing entirely working now - had to change up a resistor or two in the CV section but now it's trimmable for a 1v/octave response. No changes are necessary at all for the main circuit PCB, so once I verify the changes to the control board I think we're good to go.

hey jason,
just had a closer look at the panel.
i would put the inputs to the left and the cv ins to the right.

reasons:
1. that would go along with the signal flow from left to right. mixer is the first stage.
2. that would better fit to the mixer outs (?) in the bottom line.
3. that would avoid the faulty association of the ins with the filter outs: in1->hp, in2->bp etc.

Yeah, I've tinkered with that a bit myself. Either configuration gets weird in its own way. Nothing's set in stone yet...
