Hey I am kind of desperate here.

Is there anyone near Paris that could help with troubleshooting ?
Only one VCO subboard is working; I've been looking at it since January I don't have any idea what's happening. I could trade with a arp1601 clone if anyone is interested.

Have you posted on the build thread? If you have one VCO board working may I suggest you plug that into the VCO 2 & 3 slot to check if your trouble is with the boards 2 &3. This will help in narrowing done the problem. If VCO 1 works in the slots for 2&3 then you can be sure that you need to carefully check VCO 2&3 to see if you have an issue with your build of these 2.

Hey Maurice - post that again to the ver 2 build thread. And this time check back and respond to the responses you get - you disappeared before, so no-one followed up after the responses you got. I'd advise perhaps posting some detailed pics of all three of the 4027 boards, top and bottom - maybe someone will spot something.

I can build anything pretty much. I'm in the Berlin area. I have the requisite tools. I will trade my labor for a ttsh kit. Please take a look at the Human Comparator website and the Mouser BOM for this project to get an idea of the cost.
I like pie.

I have time around end of February til June for TTSH builds, if anybody would like a professional TTSH.
(I don't left pcbs)
All my TTSHs leave my home with the gatebooster modification if needed.
In last years I build many TTSHs of each version.
Worldwide shipping is possible.

Bumping myself:

If anyone within a reasonable distance from Atlanta, GA needs one built, I am available. Reasonable rates, which can vary depending upon how much digging around for parts I need to do! 8-)

(willing to take Buchla clone PCBs and panels in partial payment!)

I'll bump myself as well. Located in Michigan and I've been building them since V1 (5 so far). Prefer to keep it reasonably close since it's a big item to ship

And Chicago. :) Built 3, fixed and finished a couple more.

I'll throw my name in the ring for building in the Southwestern US, located in Tucson, Arizona.

I am an Electronic engineer with 50 years of DIY experience, and I've spent the last 20 years designing and building instruments for space. Certified for assembly to both the IPC and NASA 8739 standards - you will get a beautiful, reliable, professional build.

I am currently building 4 of the V3 design, of which 2 will be for sale. I can take on a couple more commissioned builds if you supply the PCBs/panel/case (I only bought the 4 I need). I am in the process of buying the parts for my 4 units right now, so hit me up soon if you want to get in on whatever quantity discounts I get. I have already sourced all my "rare" parts, so I would have to buy the rare parts kits from Thonk for any additional builds.

What do these cost to build? (PCBs and all parts on BOM?)

Looks like so much fun

I've seen estimates of $1500 for the previous version. I haven't finished buying my parts yet, but that is looking like a reasonable ballpark figure at this point. I'm guessing closer to $2K for mine - but I'm trying to source from reputable distributors whenever possible, buying genuine new originals for the obsolete parts, and I'm also buying parts for a number of mods / upgrades. YMMV :-)

Thanks. Still cheaper than I thought. If only that was the only thing on my radar.

Looks like so much fun
(1) Minus case,
(2) Common parts from an inventory that was stocked at quantity discount

Then $1K for the TTSH.
(you will have spent more, but you will have parts leftover for other things)

If you start with no parts, and order only what you need from Mouser, you will probably pay about $1.2K. You will have no parts left over.

Case is outside of the consideration here. Cost and solutions vary widely. THC sells a basic steel case, which I never bought. The cases I build consume about $250 in materials (coverings, wood and hardware).

So 1500-2k still. Would it make sense to grab a pcb and panel set and the "rare parts" while they are available?

You are presuming that they are still available. I don't know if Thonk and SynthCube managed to get any for resale, but if they did, they would be the only ones left.
