Nice sequence! Reminds me of Kraftwerk's Computer World, it's got that old-style electro/computer feel to it. :sb:

EDIT: just listening to this clip still I think that badger is actually raving to 140BPM/your sequence here. I'm not even joking, they're in perfect time.

haha. no. the HEXZONE doesn't pan. i just routed six of the switch i/o's to my tascam mixer and panned each channel appropriately. then selected random switch for each step. which is why it flys around so randomly as well as being silent on some steps.

Don't see why you couldn't set up a Hex Zone to control a couple of VCAs for all sorts of good panning fun

it's an interesting thought. the key to the fun is the random switch setting on every step. to get the most out of all 16 steps you need to input an audio signal into the switch i/o

if i had 4 quad mix VCA's i could randomly route all 16 switches to them and then take the abc(d) outs of each VCA to my tascam mixer and pan accordingly.

as it stands now i only have two dual lin vca's and a 3p so i can only do so much. i don't mind this however as it leads to silence on some steps which i think increases the fun of the panning effect.

you can loop the steps in your sequence to however many steps you want. i did this and then selected each steps' switch to be within the 6 outs i had going to the tascam. this was very cool but not really random. unfortunately you can't loop how many switches get activated. if that was the case i could select random for each of however many steps/switches i had looped. maybe an update to the hex could be implemented for what seems like a pretty simple bit of programming.

anyways the hard way would be to program multiple sequences and pick different variables of 1 - 6 for each sequence and then chain those sequences and chains. which would definately appear very random. i may just do it though just for kicks if i get bored.
